Here I am giving a sample of the indicant words, in Malayalam. It may be understood that what is given here is only a sample, and there are a lot more to make life very tedious for the person who wish to live life without the measuring by others. In some languages like Tamil, even verbs do have indicant levels. In Malayalam also, it is there, but generally it is not used. It should be borne in mind that though there are a lot of indicant words, many of them exist in very close social levels. In the table below, the words are arranged in a descending order of social prominence.
